Hurricane Maria has devastated the island of Puerto Rico. It was the strongest storm to strike the island in more than 80 years. Almost every structure was damaged, and as much as a third of all housing was made unlivable. 95% of cellphone service has been knocked out, and the entire island is without power except for buildings with generators – and fuel is running low. Officials estimate it could take up to 3 months or more to restore power to most areas, and 6 months to complete the task. Almost 3.4 million American citizens have been left without the necessities of life and desperately need help!
